Ajay Devgn Fought A Tiger For Real In 'Himmatwala'

While shooting for Sajid Khan's Himmatwala, actor Ajay Devgn proved that he is a himmatwala in real life too, when he insisted on grappling with a tiger for one of the scenes!

Director Sajid Khan said that while shooting for the movie, he had suggested that they use visual effects for the sequence, but Ajay argued that there was no point in doing a movie called Himmatwala if he was not going to fight a tiger himself. Sajid initially thought that Devgn was joking, but the actor put his foot down and shot with the tiger in a cage for three days! The deadly Devgn also suffered a deep gash on the back of his neck while shooting the sequence, but insisted on completing the sequence after basic first aid.

Starring Ajay Devgn and Tamannaah Bhatia, Himmatwala is the remake of a 80s blockbuster, that had starred Jeetendra and Sridevi. Besides Devgn and Bhatia, the film also stars Paresh Rawal and Mahesh Manjrekar in pivotal roles.
