Ajay Devgn's Remakes Are Very Different From Originals!

Ajay Devgn has been working in a lot of remakes of late. His 2011 blockbuster, Singham was a remake of the Tamil film of the same name. His next, Bol Bachchan, was also a remake of the 1979 Hrishikesh Mukherjee film, Gol Maal.

In 2012, his film, Son Of Sardaar was once again the remake of the S.S. Rajamouli film, Maryada Ramanna. And now, his next Himmatwala is also the remake of the Jeetendra-Sridevi starrer Himmatwala.

When asked about how much does he borrow from the original, he said, "If you see the original of Son Of Sardaar, you will notice that it is completely different. So, you take a particular idea and then you work on it. Even with Gol Maal and Bol Bachchan, you will notice that they are completely different. The director re-writes the entire script so it is bound to end up differently. The same thing implies to Sajid Khan's Himmatwala as well."

A remake of the 1983 blockbuster, Himmatwala starring Jeetendra and Sridevi, the film also stars Tamannaah Bhatia, Paresh Rawal and Mahesh Manjrekar and is slated to release on March 29, 2013.
