We had reported earlier that filmmaker Rumi Jaffrey is planning to remake Basu Chatterjee's comedy Shaukeen with veteran actors Annu Kapoor, Paresh Rawal and Anupam Kher playing the roles of three lecherous old men out for some fun.
At the time, it had also been reported that the makers of the film were thinking about which actor to cast in the role played by Mithun Chakraborty in the original flick. Sources now claim that Bollywood's Khiladi Akshay Kumar will be essaying the role in the film opposite Nargis Fakhri, who will play the role originally played by Rati Agnihotri. However, though the original film was set in Goa, the remake will be based in Thailand.
Akshay, who is known for his dare-devil action sequences as well as his comic timing, will also be next seen playing the role of an underworld don in Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai Again, whereas Nargis will be next seen playing the role of a journalist in Madras Cafe.
