Akshay Kumar Turns Singer For 'Special 26'

Akshay Kumar, who had a very succesful 2012 with blockbuster hits like Housefull 2, Rowdy Rathore and Khiladi 786, has started working on the Hindi remake of superhit Tamil film  Thuppakki. Kumar will be seen opposite Sonakshi Sinha in the action-thriller.


The actor told his followers on Twitter that he has started shooting for the film writing,“Started shooting my first film in the new year, the Hindi remake of Thuppakki! Would love to get your good wishes today.”


He later thanked his fans for their wishes and also asked them to suggest a name for the remake. "Thanks guys for all your good wishes & enthusiasm for the film. Needed a suggestion from you all. What should we call the Hindi remake of Thuppakki? For those who don't know, Thuppakki means a gun in Tamil and is an action thriller,"he posted on the micro-blogging site.


Thuppakki remake will be directed by A. R. Murugadoss, who also helmed the original, which features South star Vijay and Kajal Aggarwal in the lead roles.
