Alia Bhatt: Kissing is as good as slapping!

By Urvi Parikh, Glamsham Editorial

Lately, a lot has been written about Alia Bhatt's lip-lock with her co-star and rumoured boyfriend Arjun Kapoor in their upcoming film 2 STATES. In a quick chat with the petite actress, we asked her reaction to this Kissa Kiss Ka...

Admits Alia, ''I feel that too much focus has been on this kissing issue and this is ignoring the main essence of the film. The film is a love story and it can be related to each and every individual. This is a family film and because of our Indian culture, this one kiss can take that away from it.''

So did she feel awkward while doing the scenes and she reveals, ''Kiss is a very natural thing to do when you have to show a couple in a relationship. How else will you show that?

But there was a bit of awkwardness when we kissed. It was not like we had fun kissing ki chalo aaj kiss karna hai.... It is literally like aaj thappad maarna hai... aaj kiss karna hai... Kissing is as good as slapping!''

Arjun recently said at an event that Alia is a good kisser. Ask her whether she takes it as a compliment and she retorts, ''Arjun can't say that I am a bad kisser and he also can't say that he is unhappy kissing me. And it is not 'Arjun' and 'Alia' are kissing. It is 'Krish' and 'Ananya' who are kissing. So I feel that at the end of the day it is acting.''

2 STATES starring Arjun Kapoor and Alia Bhatt, directed by Abhishek Varman is all set to release on April 18, 2014. The film is jointly produced by Sajid Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment and Karan Johar's Dharma Productions.
