Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan has always been considered as one of India's greatest actors. And now with Hindi cinema spreading its reach across the globe, lots of accolades are pouring in for the 70-year-old superstar. The latest honour to be conferred on Bachchan is by the Australian government. Bachchan is being felicitated for his remarkabe contribution to Indian cinema, which has completed 100 years this year. The actor was honoured at the OzAsia Festival, for his contribution towards Indian cinema and fructifying relations between India and Australia.
Bachchan posted, "Another recognition by the Australian Government and its Commission here in Mumbai, in celebration for the 100 years of Indian Cinema, and my contribution towards fructifying the relations between the two countries... I am most humbled..."
Last year, he was felicitated with an honorary doctorate from the Queensland University of Technology in Brisbane, Australia.
