Amole Gupte Replaces Nandita Das As Children's Film Society Of India Chairperson

After Nandita Das, actor-filmmaker Amole Gupte has been chosen as the chairperson of the Children's Film Society of India (CFSI), claim sources from the Information and Broadcasting Ministry. Having already met the I&B minister Manish Tiwary and accepted the offer earlier, the Stanley Ka Dabba director received the official letter yesterday.

Apart from his directorial debut, Gupta was also involved in the making of Taare Zameen Par. He was quoted saying that CFSI's recent film, Gattu, was exemplary and that he will need to sort out his ideas about how he will initiate his stint with the CFSI.
