Anurag Basu To Remake 'Prison Break' For Indian Television

After Anil Kapoor acquired the rights to remake popular US thriller show 24 for the Indian television, it seems acclaimed director Anurag Basu is also planning to follow in the jhakaas actor's footsteps.

Sources claim that Basu has acquired the rights of hit US show Prison Break and that he will come on board of the Indian version of the hit show not just as a co-producer but also as the creative director. Prison Break revolves round two brothers, one of whom has been sentenced to death for a crime he did not commit even as the other hatches an elaborate plan to help his sibling escape the gallows.

As far as the silver screen is concerned, Anurag Basu will team up with Ranbir Kapoor for Jagga Jasoos and a biopic to be made on Kishore Kumar's life.
