Arjun Rampal: Prakash Jha's films have huge political hangover

After his terrific act in D-DAY, Arjun Rampal is coming back in yet another highly dramatic affair, SATYGARAHA. The film also continues his association with Prakash Jha with whom he has given RAAJNEETI and CHAKRAVYUHA before. What is also notable about each of these three films is the fact that Arjun has played an intense persona every time.

"Prakash always has this flavour to his films which have a strong sense of style. There is something very strong that is always conveyed. He also talks the language that he is so sure of since he comes well prepared with very good research. Obviously, when he puts the film together, most of these have a huge political hangover to them," says Arjun.

One expects the same in SATYAGRAHA as well which has its roots in the socio-political state of the country today.

"That's true," says Arjun, "CHAKRAVYUH was about the Naxal movement, RAAJNEETI was about how politicians work, scheme and play. Now SATYGARAHA deals with the politician scenario in the country which affects so many lives. With this film, he has delved into how the middle class society is affected by the politics of the country. That should interest the 'aam junta'."

We look forward to that as well once this UTV production with Amitabh Bachchan, Ajay Devgn, Kareena Kapoor, Arjun Rampal, Manoj Bajpai and Amrita Rao releases all over on 30th August 2013.
