Bipasha Basu: A woman is intelligent and looks her best post 30

By Joginder Tuteja, Glamsham Editorial

Whether it is RAAZ 3, AATMA OR CREATURE, there is an element of supernatural/horror that is turning out to be a common factor for Bipasha Basu flicks. One wonders how is the gorgeous woman managing the kind of situation where more and more films belonging to a similar genre start coming her way.

She smiles, "Well, I have managed this for 10 years. There have been many ups and downs but then I have chosen things only because of my guts. I am sure that would take me through."

What is also promising to take her through is that 'perfect woman' persona that she has managed to gain, especially after turning into the right side of the 30s!

She says, "I don't know why some out there still live in those age old notions that once an actress turn 30, she is over. Also, it is surprising that some people with a fixed mindset still believe that if at all an actress has to really perform for camera, she needs to go de-glam. Come on, it is unfair to see that someone who is glam or above 30 can't act or get powerful roles!"

"In fact post 30 is an age when a woman can be seen at her best. She looks her best and is far more intelligent person than ever before," adds Bipasha, "She can also play different kind of roles at this age. I guess it is about time such biases and stereotypes eliminate from our business."
