By Abid, Glamsham Editorial

This Friday will see the release of Subhash Kapoor's SAARE JAHAAN SE MEHNGA ... and Tigmanshu Dhulia's SAHEB BIWI AUR GANGSTER RETURNS. Given the topical theme of SAARE JAHAAN SE MEHNGA ... and the success of the first part of Dhulia's SAHEB BIWI AUR GANGSTER, it promises to be an interesting battle at the box-office, but the more saleable stars of SBAGR may just tip the balance in its favour. There is a third film listed for release (though still unconfirmed), and that is Sofia Hayat's NACHLE LONDON.

The two releases of last week, John Abraham's I, ME AUR MAIN and the Ram Gopal Varma directed ATTACKS Of 26/11 have not appealed to the paying audience who preferred the week old KAI PO CHE! Just for records both I, ME AUR MAIN and ATTACKS Of 26/11 have netted around 5-5.50 crore (to be validated) during the opening weekend from India. In the overseas I,ME AUR MAIN has been rejected while in case of RGV's ATTACKS Of 26/11, the film has managed to gross and#163; 30,692 from UK and a somewhat better $160,000 from the US during the opening weekend from India (1-3 March).

KAI PO CHE! is also on a good overseas run (predominantly in the US) grossing and#163;165,000 from UK and $877,000 from the US till the second weekend (1-3 March).
