By Abid, Glamsham EditorialThis week will see multiple releases in the form of MAIN KRISHNA HOON (animated), AKAASH VANI and RACE 2. It is obvious that it will be a one horse race in favour of the Anil Kapoor, Saif Ali Khan, John Abraham, Deepika Padukone and Jaqueline Fernandez starrer, RACE 2. The collections will be further boosted by the holiday weekend, with Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi on Friday (in many states) and Republic day on Saturday. In fact there bright chances of RACE 2 beating Saif Ali Khan's biggest grosser, COCKTAIL, by about 20-25 crore or more, depending upon the contents/merits of the Abbas-Mustan directed film.
Last Friday saw the release of Sudhir Mishra's Arjun Rampal and Chitrangda Singh starrer, INKAAR. The film also had a big drop during the weekdays, and has little or no chances of survival, given the fact RACE 2 is going to take up most of the screen space from this week
The other two releases of the week, Viking Media and Entertainment Pvt. Ltd.'s Sachiin Joshi starrer MUMBAI MIRROR and the Aditya Om directed BANDOOK, fared worse, and are commercial disasters. In fact BANDOOK is a huge debacle and many shows had to be cancelled.
