Bollywood Roots For Dry Holi

In light of the recent water shortage issues, Bollywood celebs have started asking their fans to save water this Holi through various mediums. Stars such as Amitabh Bachchan, who use Twitter to connect with their fans, took to the social micro-blogging site to advise everyone to play a dry Holi this year.

Big B wrote, “Water shortage in Maharashtra ... and it's only March. What will happen in summer? Save water! Play a dry Holi!" 

Shekhar Kapur wrote, “80% Indians have just half a bucket of clean water/day 2 cook food for d whole family. Are u really going to waste that playing Holi?”

Richa Chadda said, “Happy Holi. Let's use water sensibly this time! And then find a real fix to the problem. #rainwaterharvesting.”

Shabana Azmi revealed, “In kpng with tradition started by Abba celebrating holi tmrw with organic colours and no water bcoz of Maharastra drought.”

Mini Mathur tweeted, “Please urge everyone you know to enjoy a waterless holi. The mere thought of rain dances in the wake of the water crisis is creepy and tasteless." 

Filmmaker Sanjay Gupta, who is known for hosting lavish Holi parties at his residence, informed that this year, he would not play Holi at all in light of the water shortage issues in the state. Besides the aforesaid celebs, Ayushmann Khurrana, Vikramaditya Motwane, Sudhir Mishra and others also urged people to opt for a dry Holi this year.
