Can't do two shows together: Muskaan Mihani

Mumbai, Jan 24 (IANS) Balancing dual responsibility of two shows is not what Muskaan Mihani aspires for. She rather believes in focusing on one show at a time.

A known face on small screen, thanks to her stint in shows like "Ye Meri Life Hai", "Jugni Chali Jalandhar" and "Bhai Bhaiya Aur Brother", she says that she "can't sign two shows together".

"I have never done it before this. I need to give time to myself and shoot properly. It is very important for me to give my 100 percent to a show," the actress, in her twenties, told IANS.

Her current focus is on SAB TV's new show "Safar Filmy Comedy Ka", which she is hosting, her first job as a host.

"This show celebrates 100 years of Hindi comedy and I feel that it is a privilege to be a part of the show. This is such a big show for me and my team," she said adding that she took tips from the show's director Pankaj Sudhir Mishra to do the job with aplomb.

She also pointed out to the perks of being a host.

"I rehearsed for the show with my director. He helped me out a lot. I am a very natural anchor. I have not done this before, so I am just being myself on the show. Also this is the first time that people are calling me by my name and not by my character's name," she said.

This year marks the 100 years of Indian cinema and the show will show clippings from various films from different time periods.

Explaining about it, she said: "The show will showcase all good comedy clippings from the 1960s to 2013. We will also have big stars who will come and share their experiences."

When compared to tear-jerkers or high voltage dramas, comedy is a tough genre.

"It is tough to make people laugh. But I feel that if you are happy while doing your work, then the audience will also enjoy watching you," she said adding that the non-fiction show has turned out to be a boon for her.

"I have received many offers because people have seen the promos," said Muskaan who will only look into taking something else "once this show is done".
