39-year-old cinematographer Bobby Singh passed away yesterday evening. He died of an asthmatic attack triggered by a seafood lunch in Goa, where he was holidaying with Sanjay Suri.
Bobby started his career in 1989 as an assistant cinematographer in Raj Sippy's Shehzaade, followed by a stint in additional photography in Ghajini. He had been working on Vikas Bahl's Queen and Neeraj Pandey's Special Chabbis. The director of photography was lauded for his work in the film Gangster. Bobby is survived by his wife Radhika and five-year-old son Sumer.
