Dhanush to launch music label

Mumbai, May 14 (IANS) Southern star Dhanush, who is set for his Bollywood debut with "Raanjhanaa", says he will soon launch his own music label and it will be called - Wunderbar Studio.

"Hey guys we have decided to launch our own music label soon under the name Wunderbar Studio. Will make an official announcement soon," tweeted the 29-year-old.

Dhanush made his acting debut in Tamil cinema with 2002 movie "Thulluvadho Ilamai" and has since heworked in over 28 Tamil films. He also won the best actor National Award for his performance in "Aadukalam".

"Raanjhanaa", which stars Sonam Kapoor in the female lead, is set to release June 21.

Karan Johar excited!

Bollywood film "Bombay Talkies" has been selected for screening at the 66th Cannes International Film Festival, where India is the guest country and filmmaker Karan Johar is on cloud nine.

The film, a bouquet of four stories, directed by four directors - Anurag Kashyap, Dibakar Banerjee, Zoya Akhtar and Karan Johar - is a tribute to the 100 years of Indian cinema.

"With messages still pouring in for 'Bombay Talkies'...am so excited to go with it to Cannes! On the Croisette with Anurag, Zoya and Dibakar," tweeted Karan.

"Bombay Talkies" along with "Monsoon Shootout" has been selected for screening in two different sections at the film fest starting Wednesday. While "Monsoon..." will be part of Midnight Screening, "Bombay Talkies" will be showcased at the Gala Screening.

Ritesh Batra's "Lunch Box" will also be screened at the prestigious film festival, starting Wednesday.

When Ranbir gave Madhuri a peck on her cheek

Actor Ranbir Kapoor, who shared dance moves with Madhuri Dixit in one of the songs in his forthcoming film "Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani", got affectionate with the dhak-dhak girl.

"Madhuri is great and I am glad I got an opportunity to dance with her. She is very talented, very hardworking and always on time. I also kissed on her cheek. It was lovely," said the 30-year-old.

"Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani", directed by Ayan Mukerji, is scheduled to release May 31. The film also features Deepika Padukone.
