New Delhi, April 4 (ANI): Konkona Sen Sharma and Huma Qureshi along with the cast and crew of 'Ek Thi Daayan' released a book called 'Daayan'.
The book, which has real stories related to witches and supernatural powers, is a yet another innovative concept for promoting their upcoming movie.
Talking about the storyline, filmmaker Ekta Kapoor said that the film does not promote superstition, but has its roots in folk tales about witches.
"Our film is based on a fictitious story. These are not true facts; we are not doing a docu-drama. We are not trying to promote superstition. We are doing a super natural film. Such films are made everywhere in the world. These films should be taken seriously. They should just be enjoyed. I have always loved stories about witches," she said.
Meanwhile, Sharma said that her journey during the film's making was interesting and appreciated the director, Kannan Iyer for his work.
"Well I'd like to say that it is more of a supernatural thriller than a horror film. I can't say much about the film because that would be revealing, I think too much but it was a wonderful experience working with everyone, especially Kannan Iyer who is our director who could not be here today but I think he has done a fabulous job," she said.
"The music is amazing, there are great actors in the film, it is a great collaboration, so I am very happy," the 33-year-old actress added.
The film that also features Emraan Hashmi and Kalki Koechlin is scheduled to release on April 18. (ANI)
