Emraan-Vidya get sigh of relief!

By Joginder Tuteja, Glamsham Editorial

In their last few films, both Emraan Hashmi and Vidya Balan have played rather serious characters. However for their next release together, GHANCHAKKAR, the duo has just let their hair down. This is not just for the camera but also behind the scenes.

"There have been way too many intense films that Emraan has done in the recent past. EK THI DAAYAN is a recent example where he was tense for most part of the affair. Ditto for his delayed film RUSH. Even before that in RAAZ 3, his major blockbuster, he could hardly afford a smile. As for SHANGHAI, he was in a trouble zone all throughout. Thankfully for him, GHANCHAKKAR was designed as an out and out comedy and for a change, Emraan could afford to let his hair down. He had a lot of fun during the making of the film and it would reflect on screen as well," says a source.

Ditto for Vidya Balan who was out to take revenge for her husband's death in her last release KAHAANI and didn't really have a luxury to smile. Before that in THE DIRTY PICTURE too she turned a tragic figure as the film progressed. Prior to that she was seen in NO ONE KILLED JESSICA and right through the film, she was required to be tense.

"No wonder, she let her hair down for GHANCHAKKAR, well literally so, since she is playing the part of an over-the-top Punjabi woman who says what she thinks," says a source attached to the film, "It would be after months that she would be playing a happy figure. So is the case for Emraan as well. They have truly turned 'ghanchakkars' for the film."

We hope to see that in action once this UTV film, which is directed by Rajkumar Gupta, hits the screens next Friday.
