Film To Be Made On Mahatma Gandhi's Assassination Plot

Mahatma Gandhi has been the subject of many films in the country (Gandhi My Father, Maine Gandhi Ko Nahin Maara) and now, there is one more film being made, which will chronicle the plot made to kill the Father of the Nation, claim sources.

Buzz has it that Cinetek Films had purchased the rights to Manohar Malgonkar's book The Men Who Killed Gandhi, for the purpose of making it into a film, which will be directed by Siddharth Sengupta. The film is scheduled for release in January 2014 to mark the 66th death anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi.

The book 'The Men Who Killed Gandhi' is an account of Gandhi's assassination with details of the plan, the politics revolving around and the trial of Nathuram Godse and his partners in crime viz. Narayan Apte, Vishnu Karkare, Gopal Godse and Madanlal Pahwa.
