The young actor wants to look great and have a chiseled, perfectly-toned body. As he has many shots in the film that require him to show off his body. In the wake of that Ranveer is following a strict diet, every time when he has to shoot a scene where he has to flaunt his abs.
For that he is following a low carb diet with no rice, roti, noodle or pasta. He also follows a stringent workout regime two days before the shoot when he has to flaunt his body.
Sources confirm that, "There are many scenes where the actor has to go bare-chested. Whenever he has to flaunt his body two days before Ranveer goes on a specific diet and two hours before the shoot he avoids eating altogether."
"Simultaneously, he works out hard and only after that goes in front of the camera," informs a source.
"He is very particular about his protein bars; he only eats homemade food and does 50 sets of crunches and push-ups before the shot," adds the source.
The first shooting schedule of the film directed by Ali Abbas Zafar has just commenced in Kolkata. Besides Ranveer Singh, the film also stars Arjun Kapoor, Priyanka Chopra and Irrfan Khan.
Set in Kolkata of the early 70s, it tells the story of coal thieves, who go on to become powerful members of the mafia.
