Imran Khan Hung Out With Jats To Prepare For 'Matru Ki Bijlee Ka Mandola' Role

During the first look launch of the movie Matru Ki Bijlee Ka Mandola, actor Imran Khan had admitted that when he was told about his role, he was reluctant about accepting it as he thought he would not be able to do justice to the role of a rustic Haryanvi Jat.

Now that you all have seen the trailers and have got impressed with the way the urbane Khan managed to pull off the role, you might be wondering about how the Delhi Belly boy managed to do this. The secret- the actor reportedly spent almost a month hanging out with Haryanvi Jats to get acquainted with their mannerisms and their way of talking and body language. Moreover, the Jats were instructed by a theatre coach to converse in Haryanvi at all times with Khan, so that he could get used to the language. As a result, it seems Imran did not get to speak English for a whole month when he was with them.

Directed by Vishal Bhardwaj, Matru Ki Bijlee Ka Mandola also stars Anushka Sharma and Pankaj Kapur.
