By Glamsham Editorial

YRF's next release MERE DAD KI MARUTI had a surprise visitor. Imtiaz Ali, the talented director of films like ROCKSTAR, JAB WE MET, LOVE AAJ KAL and more, dropped by to wish debutante director Ashima Chibber luck.

The crew that was shooting a critical scene on the streets in Mumbai was pleasantly surprised to see him. Ashima happened to be Imtiaz's chief assistant director on ROCKSTAR and hence they go back a while. Imtiaz was sweet enough not only to spend some time on set but also spoke to the cast, including Saqib Saleem who's the lead of the film to motivate them. He left after spending some quality time and sharing some signature shoot chai with the team.

Says Ashima, "Imtiaz is someone I look up to as a terrific director. I learnt a lot from him while working on ROCKSTAR. And we were delighted to have him drop by on the sets of my first feature to wish the entire team luck!"

MERE DAD KI MARUTI releases March 15.
