Kajol's noble act on KBC

Mumbai, Nov 8 (IANS) Bollywood actress Kajol made an appearance on quiz show "Kaun Banega Crorepati" to support 'Help the child reach 5' initiative.

The actress was accompanied by five-year-old Mayank from Chandwada, a small village in Madhya Pradesh where children die even before they reach the age of five.

The reason for their death are unhygienic conditions causing diarrhea and Mayank is one of the few survivors.

After playing the game show with the host, megastar Amitabh Bachchan, Kajol added an additional Rs.50 lakh to the amount she won and gave it for the charity.

The episode featuring Kajol is part of the Children's Day, which is on Nov 14, special episode on KBC.

Ready to experiment with looks: Pooja Gor

Seen as a traditional daughter-in-law in TV show "Mann Kee Awaaz Pratigya", actress Pooja Gor won't mind experimenting with her looks for a role.

"I want to try out different characters and sequences to test my own calibre and strength as an actor," Pooja told IANS.

The actress has been part of other shows like "Kitani Mohabbaat Hai" and "The Serial".

In an upcoming episode on TV show "Yeh Hai Aashiqui", the actress will be seen playing Charulata, a woman who tries to find happiness outside her marriage.

The story is based on Rabindranath Tagore's novel, "Nastanirh" and Pooja will be seen as a traditional Bengali woman.

"Honestly, I took up the episode in 'Yeh Hai Aashiqui' because it has a complete Bengal flavour to it. I am fond of Bengali culture. I am glad the way it has turned out. I am very happy with the way I look," Pooja said.

Hosted by Vikrant Massey, the show narrates unusual love stories.

Pihu on 'Comedy Circus Ke Mahabali'

In a special episode to celebrate Children's Day on Nov 14, Amrita Mukherjee, little Pihu from popular show "Bade Acche Lagte Hain", will be seen showing her comic timing on "Comedy Circus ke Mahabali".

Amrita, who essayed the five-year-old Pihu on the show, will be paired with Mantra and Jamie J in the Sony show.

The special episode will also see Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh making a very special appearance on the show to promote his movie "Ram-leela".
