Actor Kamal Haasan, whose recent release Vishwaroopam (Vishwaroop in Hindi) made headlines, after it was banned in Tamil Nadu by the state government for allegedly hurting Muslim sentiments, arranged a special screening of the film for his friend and colleague Rajinikanth, at his home. Haasan screened the film for the megastar as a gesture of gratitude, for standing by him during the row over his film.
Rajinikanth had requested to Muslims to give up their demand to ban the film and also suggested them to discuss the changes that they wanted in the film, with Kamal, without affecting the storyline. Sources reveal that Haasan didn't watch the film with Rajini, instead he attended a separate screening of his film, which was attended by many other celebrities. Haasan is also planning to screen the movie in Mumbai and reportedly it will be attended by celebs like Hrithik Roshan, Shah Rukh Khan and the Bachchans.
The ban on Vishwaroopam has been lifted now and the film will release in Tamil Nadu today, almost two weeks after its original release date (January 25).
