Kamal Haasan To Receive Lifetime Achievement Award At Mumbai Film Festival

Kamal Haasan, who was last seen in the much-acclaimed film Vishwaroop, will be conferred with the Lifetime Achievement Award at the 15th Mumbai Film Festival, for his immense contribution to the Indian cinema.

The chairman of Mumbai Academy of Moving Images (MAMI), Shyam Benegal revealed at a Press conference that they will present the Lifetime Achievement Award to Haasan and French filmmaker Costa Gavras this year.

The cinematic extravaganza will commence from October 17 and tribute will be paid to late filmmaker Yash Chopra, Rituparno Ghosh and Bollywood's iconic villain Pran during the film fest. 200 films from over 65 countries will be showcased at the festival.
