Kasthuri Raja ventures into Malayalam cinema

Thiruvananthapuram, Jan 16 (IANS) Veteran Tamil director Kasthuri Raja is set to weild the megaphone for his first Malayalam film, "Close Friends".

He has roped in producer Basheer's son Shebin for the lead role. Babu Mukundan also features in the movie that revolves around a group of childhood friends.

A prominent producer-director of Tamil cinema, Kasthuri is superstar Dhanush's father.

Some of Kasthuri's directorial ventures include "Vasuki", "Veera Thaalaattu" and "Kummi Paattu".
