Isabelle, who has been looking for a Bollywood break, has decided to take the celluloid plunge with Thomas's film. The film written by Erica Stair Reddy and Melanie Easton will feature Isabelle in a non- glamourous role. Isabelle's decision to go for a short- film debut has surprised many, considering Katrina was reportedly said to be in talks with film- maker Ayan Mukerji for a mega Bollywood launch for her.

There were also rumours that Katrina was all set to launch her production house and her first venture could star Isabelle. Insiders say Isabelle, who is pursuing an acting course at the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute of New York, agreed to do the short film first because she wants to hone her skills on facing the camera before starting a proper Bollywood career.

Isabelle first came into the spotlight when a porn MMS featuring a girl who resembled her started doing the rounds. Thomas's short film is a crossover project and is targeted mainly at the global festival circuit. The Isabelle- Harshvardhan starrer is primarily set in New York but Thomas wants to rewrite certain portions to incorporate a few scenes in Mumbai.

Harshvardhan has been studying in California and has been keen to join Btown. Earlier reports had suggested that he would make his Bollywood debut in a film produced by Anil. Recently, there were also rumours that he will assist Anurag Kashyap on Bombay Velvet, starring Ranbir Kapoor, although nothing has been confirmed. Katrina Kaif's younger sister Isabelle will debut in a Bollywood film which is yet to be named.
