Is LOOTERA Ranveer Singh the next superstar after Ranbir Kapoor?

By Abid, Glamsham Editorial

Long time back when we had predicted (just before the release of SAAWARIYA) that Ranbir Kapoor was the next superstar in the waiting, many had scoffed at our belief but we were proved right, eventually.

The industry has not seen a real super star since Hrithik Roshan and Ranbir Kapoor. True there are many talents shining bright on the horizon, though stars like Vivek Oberoi, Imran Khan etc promised much but failed to deliver in the long run.

However, it appears that we will soon be seeing another super star soon. And it is none other than Ranveer Singh, a Yash Raj prodigy.

Despite the boy-next-door looks Ranveer Singh does have a sparkling screen presence, and is star material, as was evident from his first two movies, BAND BAAJA BARAAT and LADIES VS RICKY BAHL, both of which were reasonable successes Industry big wigs swear by him, and his charisma and magnetism as well as his spontaneous acting prowess.

Even the highly talented and versatile actor, Adil Hussain (AGENT VINOD, ENGLISH VINGLISH and LIFE OF PI), who is one of Ranveer's co-star in the much talked about LOOTERA had lots of praises for the actor, when he had asked him the same.

With the first theatrical promo of LOOTERA already being the talk of tinsel town, and receiving much praise from the who's who of the industry as well as movie buffs, and Yash Raj's highly anticipated GUNDAY and Sanjay Leela Bhansali's RAM LEELA too lined up for release, there is no stopping Ranveer from achieving the super star status in the years to come
