London, Jan. 11 (ANI): Megan Fox has deactivated her Twitter account after only a week, as she can't see a good reason for keeping it.

The 26-year-old actress, who notched up more than 250,000 followers since making an account on Twitter on January 3, tweeted on Wednesday, "5 days on Twitter and I have yet to discern it's purpose. #WhatIsThePoint ???"

Then on Thursday, she said that her Facebook post addressed to her 33 million subscribers and that she was not able to keep up with something that she disliked so much, the Daily Mail reported.

She explained: "Some of you may or may not have noticed by now that my Twitter account has been shut down."

"I thought that 2013 might be the year that I finally blossomed into a social networking butterfly, but as it turns out, I still hate it.

Fox added, "Love you guys but I will just never be that girl. Facebook is as much as I can handle. I'm sorry."

During her short-lived time on Twitter, she showed off her 'Star Wars' memorabilia and cheered on the Los Angeles Lakers.

She also posted a picture from her childhood, featuring herself and her parents dressed up in what she deemed "Wild West" clothing. (ANI)
