Melbourne, Feb 14 (ANI): Miranda Kerr has said that she's been left feeling "violated" after a hacker made serious threats against her and her family.

Police are investigating a report made by Kerr just hours after she said that her personal email account was hacked, News.com.au reported.

Kerr and her family have been rocked by the tone and personal nature of the threat.

"It was something that was personal and that threatened to affect my family, so obviously I'm taking it very seriously," she said.

Kerr contacted police on Tuesday after receiving the threats to a personal email account, not a social media site. (ANI)
