Monica made a debutant entry in Kolkata's Tollywood film industry with the item number in the low- budget film that has been running in the theatres for more than a week now. "It was not an easy task to rope in Monica for the item number. It was difficult for the crew members to get through the actress.Finally, I had to contact Monica in Mumbai and she agreed to do the song," producer of the film, Gautam Saha, said.

He said the song has already become quite popular across Bengal. In just more than one week, it has done a fair business of over Rs 32 lakh. "We are expecting to earn Rs 1.5 crore in one- and- half months, which will pay back the investment cost for me," Saha added."She ( Monica) was in Kolkata for one week to shoot the item number," the producer said.The first few lines of the song go thus: "Lakh diwana haat barale, ek hasinar mon je dolay/ Kake chere kake debo, aamar bhukha dil/ Aha ki mushkil, ki mushkil, ki mushkil ." (When lakhs of crazy men try to woo a beauty, it is then when her heart melts.It is difficult for my hungry heart to make make a choice. What predicament!)

Despite Monica's presence and contrary to the producer's claim, the film isn't exactly setting the box office on fire. The reason for this, according to cine buffs, is the amateurish performance by the leading duo — Raj and Debomita — and a pedestrian plot.The redeeming factor is the item number. "Because the song has already become popular, we have signed Monica for another film, for which the shooting will commence soon," Saha said.
