A few days before its release, Kamal Haasan’s upcoming spy thriller Vishwaroop seems to have already landed in trouble. Buzz has it that a Muslim organization has demanded that the film be screened for them first before the release as they fear the movie might portray their community in a negative light.
A K Mohammed Haneefa, coordinator of the Federation of Islamic Movements and Political Parties has claimed that he has confidential information about Muslims being portrayed in a bad light in the movie and as such, he wants the movie to be screened for them beforehand so that they can see for themselves. Haneefa also added that though the demand for a screening has been made to Kamal Haasan, there has been no response so far.
Vishwaroop, which also stars Pooja Kumar, Andrea Jeremiah, Rahul Bose and Shekhar Kapur, is also facing another kind of controversy following Haasan’s decision to have the movie premiere on DTH a day before the theatrical release.
