Nargis Fakhri: I am proud of myself

By Joginder Tuteja, Glamsham Editorial

2013 was a good year for Nargis Fakhri, what with her firang' journalist act in MADRAS CAFE fetching her good appreciation, while her 'desi' dance number 'Dhating Naach' with Shahid Kapoor in PHATA POSTER NIKHLA HERO is being played till date. Now that she would be seen as a leading lady in an out-and-out masala starrer MAIN TERA HERO, Nargis is obviously on a career high.

"Well, the preparation began some time back itself as a result of which she did bag an 'item number' and then a commercial film like MAIN TERA HERO. She has moved on well after all the criticism she received for ROCKSTAR. She didn't take it to her heart and instead looked at working on areas that helped her qualify as a quintessential Bollywood heroine. She never sat down and fretted over matters. She immersed herself deeply into preparing for her next big outing," says a close associate of the actress.

For starters, she went through a variety of dance classes ranging from Kathak, Hip-Hop, Jazz, Ballet and contemporary Bollywood. Today, when she is aiming higher, Nargis is all the more confident about her stint with the world of glamour.

"In a way I am very proud of myself and it is not just to do with Bollywood, but life in general," smiles Nargis, "See, no matter where you come from, life is anyways hard. Yes, it is hard sometimes when you don't have someone to help you. So, the idea is to do things on your own. I keep telling myself that it is a challenge but I will achieve what I am set out for. I want to be an inspiration for people so that they realize that if they really want something, they can achieve it. The idea is to be grounded and one day you will get what you are set out for."

Now one looks forward to what she brings on board with MAIN TERA HERO which releases all over on 4th April, 2014.
