This was waiting to happen. While his seniors have all played a cop in one or the other film and the current trend is for every notable actor to turn one for screen, it was about time that Neil Nitin Mukesh too joined the fray. The youngster would soon be seen in uniform for his film which is interestingly titled DUSSEHRA.

"Yes, Neil is playing a cop in the film. This is going to be a first of him. DUSSEHRA has been designed as a hard hitting film and would see a complete makeover for Neil," informs a source.

The film would be directed by Manish Vatsalya who is making sure that DUSSEHRA stays miles away from South 'masala',/i> that has dominated quite a few cop films in the recent past.

"Unlike DABANGG, ROWDY RATHORE or SINGHAM which prided themselves in over the top action, DUSSEHRA would have a tone of its own. It would be a totally different Neil that audience would get to see on screen," the source continues.

Announcement for the leading lady would be made once Neil wraps up his under-production ISHQERIYA and begins shooting for DUSSEHRA.

Confirms Neil, who has three back to back dramatic thrillers lined up in the form of DAVID, 3G and SHORTCUT ROMEO, "Yes, I am playing a cop in the film. It is going to be an action affair."

Given the trend of Neil playing a grey character film after film ever since the release of JOHNY GADDAAR, one can pretty much expect him to maintain similar shade as a cop as well. "Well, it would be too early to comment on that," smiles Neil before signing off.
