Post Delhi Gangrape Case, Akshay Kumar Recommends Self-Defence Training For Women

A few days back, martial artist turned actor Vidyut Jamwal had advised his female fans via his social networking site to carry pepper spray and hit back at molesters. Now, another martial artist turned actor Akshay Kumar has also advised women to enroll for self-defence classes.

Taking to Twitter, Akki wrote, "What happened is not acceptable! Let us not forget, we owe her that much. If we can't get men to behave, it is time women take things in their own hands. Make self-defence compulsory in the school curriculum. It is not a solution but a start. Self defence training will atleast give them the ability to protect themselves if the need arises."

Akshay, who was a self-defence instructor before he joined films, has always been quite keen on promoting martial arts and is reported to soon produce a movie about martial arts. The actor will be next seen playing the role of a con-man in Special Chabbis.
