Psy vows to 'move on' from ground-breaking hit 'Gangnam Style'

New York, Jan. 1 (ANI): Psy, who performed his hit song 'Gangnam Style' on New Year's eve on ABC's 'Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve,' has said that he is ready to leave the song behind.

The South Korean rapper told MTV News that being in Times Square on New Year's Eve was already special, as it is the biggest stage in the universe, plus it was also his birthday, so this could be the ending of his hit track 'Gangnam Style,' the New York Daily News reported.

The video became the first ever to surpass one billion views on YouTube.

His popularity swelled to such heights that the White House didn't pull back an invitation despite a Washington Post report saying that he had earlier rapped, "kill those f---- Yankees who have been torturing Iraqi captives," in a 2004 anti-American heavy metal song.

He said that he needed a new single as 'Gangnam Style' had gotten too popular.

He further added that it did not mean that the song had been performed for the last time as he still had some invitations left. (ANI)
