'Raavi' in drag act on small screen

Mumbai, Sep 4 (IANS) A new show titled "Raavi" about a child who is made to dress up like a boy to protect her identity, is ready to hit the small screen.

"Raavi" is the story of a girl's journey. She is brought up as Ravinder for the entire world except her family.

Scheduled to begin Sep 9, the show will air on BIG Magic.

The storyline revolves around Amrita, married to Kawaljeet. But Kawaljeet is brutally murdered by his father's step-brother.

This changes Amrita's life drastically. Then begins her journey as a mother who has to protect her family and her little girl - Raavi, whose identity has to be kept secret at all times.

Actress Rashmi Singh who has been part of "Dwarkadheesh" will be seen as Amrita while Rimi Shrivastav will essay the character of Raavi.
