'Radha' Song From 'Student Of The Year' Lands In Trouble

A few days after Karan Johar's campus romance Student Of The Year hit the silver screens, the love triangle seems to have already courted trouble. The reason- the peppy Radha song in the film, which seems to have rubbed a right-wing Hindu outfit the wrong way.

It seems that the Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) has not been pleased with the fact that in the song, Radha has been termed 'sexy', which they feel  is an insult to the sentiments of Hindus who worship Lord Krishna. Incidentally, the same HJS had earlier raised objections to Akshay Kumar inaugurating the IFFI event at Goa this year as they were not happy with the way Kumar portrayed Lord Krishna and took potshots at organised religion in OMG Oh My God!.

The outfit also recently conducted a protest outside a suburban multiplex where the movie  Student Of The Year was being screened and demanded that  the Censor Board should ban the movie for derogatory reference against Radha in the song.
