Rahul Bose in MFF jury headed by 'HITCH' helmer Andy Tennant

The 14th Mumbai Film Festival (MFF), organized by the Mumbai Academy of Moving Image (MAMI) and sponsored by Reliance Entertainment and American Express, has announced its panels of jury for various competitive sections.

It's most important section the International Competition of First Films will have an international jury headed by the well-known Hollywood director Andy Tennant, the creator of highly successful Will Smith, Eva Mendes and Kevin James starrer HITCH, the film that 'inspired' David Dhawan to make Salman-Katrina-Govinda starrer PARTNER. The other films in his filmography are FOOL'S GOLD, SWEET HOME ALBAMA, and ANNA and THE KING. The well-known Korean director Im Sang-soo whose film TASTE OF MONEY, a Cannes competition selection, is in the World Cinema section of MFF will also join Tennant. Sang-soo's other films are THE HOUSEMAID, and GOOD LAWYER'S WIFE. The other members of this jury are Indian actor and film-star Rahul Bose, a well-known film editor with 50 films to his credit Pascale Chavance, and the Brazilian director and screen-writer Sergio Machado whose film CIDADE BAIXA was screened in the Un Certain Regard section at the 2005 Cannes Film Festival.

The India Gold 2012 Competition Jury will be headed by the producer STAR WARS franchise Gary Kurtz who will be joined by Christian Jeune of Cannes Film Festival, the acclaimed cinematographer Declan Quinn (THE RELUCTANT FUNDAMENTALIST, VANITY FAIR etc.), Geoffrey Gilmore, the Chief Creative Officer at Tribeca, and Julia Leigh, Australian writer and filmmaker.

Celebrate Age Competition Jury will be headed by Shobhaa De, who will be joined by Bhavna Talwar, Sachin Kundalkar, producer and WIFT founder Petrina D'Rozario, and Ranvir Shorey.

Dimensions Mumbai Competition Jury will be headed by Umesh kulkarni, who will be joined by Sanjay Suri, Giatanjali Rao, and Reema Kagti.

In all cash prizes worth USD 2,00, 000 ( Rs. 1 crore) will be given away to the winners.

The 14th MFF runs through 18-25 October 2012. The screenings will take place at NCPA (main venue), Inox (Nariman Point), Liberty, and Cinemax Sion and Versova.
