REVEALED: Real Salman Khan on 'Koffee With Karan'

By Enkayaar, Glamsham Editorial

After a long-long time, and judging scores of dance based shows on the television, Karan Johar returned to the programme 'Koffee With Karan' with which he had made his debut on television. And who else but a Salman Khan to launch the fresh season, and ensure that the debut of a new season of 'Koffee With Karan' has maximum TRP. After all, with the 'Bigg Boss' season going all guns blazing and associated controversies emanating around 'Bigg Boss', it indeed was a perfect opportunity for Karan Johar to begin the show with Salman Khan.

It indeed was a candid interview with no holds barred questions and answers, it indeed is sad to see that the salubrious part of the episode has been lapped up by all and sundry but the positives that one should take away have been left to the back burners. Salman revealed during the show that were it not for a Kumar Gaurav, who had given him loads of his Jeans to sport, when Salman was trying to make his mark, the idea to extend a helping hand to newcomers in the industry and otherwise perhaps may not have germinated at all. The trigger for germination of the thought to help out those who are needy came after Salman Khan walked back from Kumar Gaurav's house with a truckload of Jeans. Salman was also quite profuse in his acknowledgement to Kailash Surendranath who had helped him in creating a career.

The moot point is, in the present times when people forget mentors, and attribute their success with a smirk to supposed in-born talent Salman Khan's interview came as a wave of fresh air. Obviously there were moments where Karan Johar did try to corner Salman but Salman came out in flying colors. Jokes are in circulation about the fact that Salman still is a virgin- a supposed by-product of this interview- but forgotten in the melee is the fact that Salman could have gone overboard proclaiming his virility, but it may have cast aspersions on the characters of the females associated with him, and so he maintained a deadpan expression when it was talked about.

Salman Khan also had a message for the fans and the general public that when they see a star they should not just jut out their mobile cameras into their faces and respect their privacy otherwise they could retaliate and go overboard.

For Karan Johar the season has opened on the most ominous note that he could expect and one only hopes that it goes from strength to strength from here.
