For all the Harley/F-150 fans boys out there, this might be some disheartening news. New reports tell us that Ford is kicking to the curb the long-lived F-150 Harley Davidson edition pickup, and without even so much as a goodbye.
“It won’t be missed,” Beau Smith told Automotive News, “With the introduction of Platinum and Raptor it was not a high-volume or high-turn vehicle for us.” This new plan, Ford hopes, will drop any sort of minor niche still associated with the pickup and present a simpler lineup in the future.
Originally introduced in 1999, the Harley-Davidson special edition ran for 13 years until its final production for the 2012 model year. Harley-Davidson has yet to make an issue regarding the end of production.
