Rohit Shetty To Re-Create Iconic 'DDLJ' Train Scene For 'Chennai Express'?

Fans of Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan might surely remember the iconic train sequence in Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge, where Kajol is seen running parallel to a train leaving a platform, while Khan leans out of the train with an outstretched arm to pick her up.

Now, many years later, Rohit Shetty, who will be teaming up with Khan for masala entertainer Chennai Express, is all set to re-create the scene for his film. A still from the film shows Deepika Padukone trying to catch a leaving train, while SRK stands at the doorway reaching out to grab her hand. However, despite the fact that the two scenes might seem familiar, a source attached to the film said that though there are similarities, it is not an attempt to 're-create' the DDLJ scene.
Chennai Express, an entertainer film, is set against the backdrop of a train journey from Mumbai to Chennai. The news of Shetty teaming up with SRK raised many eyebrows back then as Shetty is said to be quite close to Ajay Devgn, who is not so pally with the King Khan.
