Sajid Khan to break new records with HIMMATWALA

HIMMATWALA promo is out and while one can clearly see that this one would strike in a big way with the masses, it is also apparent that Sajid Khan has gone ahead and brought a different dimension to his story telling technique with the film. While he is pretty much being unabashed in his approach as far as taking his Ajay Devgn starrer to the masses is concerned, he is now also close on the heels of creating a record.

"Rajkumar Hirani is the only director in the current era who has enjoyed three big successes in a row with his very initial outings. Whether it is MUNNABHAI MBBS, LAGEY RAHO MUNNABHAI or 3 IDIOTS, each of his films has been critically as well as commercially acclaimed. Similarly Sajid Khan too has scored a hat trick with HEYY BABYY, HOUSEFULL and HOUSEFULL 2. Though it is certain that as and when Hirani's PEEKAY would release, it would be huge and make it four in a row for the filmmaker. However before that happens, it would be Sajid Khan enjoying this feat with HIMMATWALA which is already looking huge," says an industry veteran.

Though prior to Sajid, filmmakers like Rohit Shetty and Anees Bazmee too have enjoyed massive successes in a row, they couldn't achieve such feat for their first three films. Moreover, Sajid has enjoyed over 250 crores in collections for his first three films, a feat that has been surpassed only by Hirani who enjoys a combined total of around 300 crores for his three releases so far.

When contacted, Sajid was pretty much surprised on hearing these facts and statistics with this unique feat awaiting him. However he soon gathered himself and said, "As long as HIMMATWALA works with the audience, something that I am positive that it surely will, I am happy with the feat. Beyond that it is irrelevant to even get into a comparison with any filmmaker whatsoever, especially with Hirani who is superb. I am sure he would be making something special with PEEKAY."

Meanwhile one looks forward to HIMMATWALA which releases all over on 29th March.
