Sajid Khan: 'I wanted 'Himmatwala' to be my first film'

Filmmaker Sajid Khan, who is gearing up for the release of his upcoming film Himmatwala, recently declared that he had wanted this film to be his first film as a director.

At the music launch event of the film, Khan said, “I had made Heyy Baby in 2007, but I had been working on a draft of Himmatwala since then. I had wanted it to be my first film and had always imagined Ajay Devgn in the lead role. Whenever I would close my eyes and try to visualize the film poster, Devgn would come to mind as I cannot see any other actor in that role.”

Himmatwala remake stars Ajay Devgn, Tamannaah Bhatia, Paresh Rawal and Mahesh Manjrekar in lead roles.
