Joginder Tuteja, Glamsham Editorial'Strictly vegetarian' - This is what Sajid Khan wishes to term his film HOUSEFULL 2 as. Aiming to make it three in a row after HEYY BABYY and HOUSEFULL and keeping in mind the fact that all blockbusters in the history of Bollywood cinema have been largely family affairs, Sajid made it a point that his HOUSEFULL 2 would be sans any nudity or scenes that would make the audience uncomfortable.
"His HEYY BABYY had a bit of skin show involved but that was required since his three leads (Akshay Kumar, Riteish Deshmukh, Fardeen Khan) were shown as playboys. HOUSEFULL was a clean affair too barring a song sequence ('I Don't Know What To Do') featuring Jiah Khan and Akshay Kumar. Again, Sajid's reasoning was that it was required to establish her characterisation. However for HOUSEFULL 2 he was sure that the film would be as clean as it gets," informs a close associate.
Sajid went on to have a heart to heart conversation with his producer Sajid Nadiadwala where they reflected on films like 3 IDIOTS, GOLMAAL 3, READY, BODYGUARD etc., none of which involved any skin show. Since it is a fact that each of them did a business of over 100 crores each, both Sajids converged on the thought that HOUSEFULL 2 too would stay on as a wholesome family entertainer.
"In any case it wasn't a difficult decision to make," says Sajid Khan, "Nadiadwala and I have always believed in making films for the family audience. For HOUSEFULL 2 I have gone that extra distance to make sure that you can watch the film with your sister, mother, father and other family members. HOUSEFULL 2 is what I would call a pure vegetarian 'thali' entertainer."
