Sanjay Dutt Applies For Furlough Extension

Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt, who had applied for a furlough of 14 days from the Yerwada Central Jail for health reasons, has filed an application for an extension of the furlough, claim sources.

A senior officer from the prison department said that a decision on his application is expected on Monday after a report arrives from the Mumbai police. Dutt, who is undergoing a 42-month sentence under the Arms Act for his involvement in the 1993 Mumbai blasts case, was released from the prison on leave of furlough by the state prisons department on October 1.

Sanjay Dutt was last seen on the silver screens in South remake Policegiri, which was released after his conviction under the Arms Act.
