Sanjay Dutt Applies For Parole?

Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt, who is presently incarcerated at the Yerwada Central Jail after being convicted under provisions of the Arms Act, has reportedly applied for a parole leave of around 14 days, claim sources.

Confirming the news to a daily, Jail superintendent Yogesh Desai said that Dutt applied for parole under the prescribed jail format around 20 days ago and that the parole application has been forwarded to the divisional commissioner, who will take a decision on the matter after seeking a report from the police station concerned.

Sanjay Dutt was convicted for possessing illegal weapons, which he claims he had acquired for the protection of his family in light of the communal tension in the city during the early 90s.
