Sanjay Dutt?s Parole Application Is To Seek Treatment

A day ago, we had reported that Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt, who is presently incarcerated at the Yerwada Central Jail in Pune, had applied for a parole of 14 days and now, buzz has it that Dutt is seeking the parole for medical treatment.

Sources attached to the prison administration claim that Dutt has sought leave to seek treatment for an ailment. Jail Superintendent Yogesh Desai declined to divulge any details about the ailment but he has confirmed to a daily that the 57-year-old actor has applied for parole for treatment. Dutt had applied for parole under the prescribed jail format around 20 days ago and the parole application has been forwarded to the divisional commissioner, who will take a decision on the matter after seeking a report from the police station concerned.

Sanjay Dutt was convicted under provisions of the Arms Act for possessing illegal weapons, which he claims he had acquired for the protection of his family during the early 90s, when communal tensions were high in the city.
