Sidharth Malhotra: One stupid decision would lead me to zero

Sidharth Malhotra is keeping his feet stable on the ground and it goes without saying that someone who is ensuring that there is right vision when it comes to his Bollywood stint is Karan Johar himself. He is pretty much involved in the youngster's career decisions, whether it is a film with Dharma or other productions.

"Well, Karan has made it clear that there is no exclusivity I have with Dharma. I can meet anyone I want to in case there is a good project in the making. There are filmmakers making enquiries and hopefully I would make correct choices. I won't be making any hasty decisions. If I make a stupid decision, I would go back to zero. Luckily there is Karan to guide me," smiles Sidharth.

Meanwhile he is gearing up for his next film HASEE TOH PHASEE, a romantic comedy. However one wonders that after playing a student in his first film and now proceeding to do a light hearted film next, are there any other genres that he is looking at exploring next?

"My understanding after the release of STUDENT OF THE YEAR is that people pretty much liked me in a quiet and brooding persona. Also, they liked a little bit of romance which was there between me and Alia. Woh thoda aashiq type angle unhe pasand aaya. Of course it isn't like I would like to do exactly the same things in my coming movies as well. Hopefully I would be able to incorporate these elements in my coming films as well instead of doing something which is totally out of reach. That's the plan but then a lot also depends on the script and the director. I have to see what their vision is," says Sidharth before signing off.
