Sonakshi Sinha has brought back the old world charm with her look in her upcoming film Lootera. The film is set in the 50's and Sonakshi's look has been inspired by Indian actresses of that era.
At the first look launch of the film, when the actress was asked if she took references for her character from the yesteryear actresses, the 25-year-old said, “When you think of the 50's you only remember the faces of actresses like Madhubala ji, Suchitra Sen, Waheeda Rehman and when Vikram (Vikramaditya Motwane) told me that the character is of 1950's I was very excited because this is that kind of a film, which takes you to a different world altogether.”
When quizzed if she did any research for her look in the film, she said, “I didn't have to work hard on my look, as the people who were working on my look did a very good job, they have researched a lot. So I would like to thank my designer Suvarna, director Vikram and his wife Ishika as they all have toiled a lot.”
Directed by Vikramaditya Motwane the film is inspired by O. Henry's short story The Last Leaf and stars Ranveer Singh opposite Sinha.
